Careless listing description: Despite being listed as 3/8" drive sockets, 5 of the sockets were 1/2" instead of 3/8" drive, which was obvious as soon as I opened the package.     Perfect for home shops to light industrial use

    I bought the small/medium set to use at work in a CNC job shop. Looks like good quality tools that I can expect to last a while. I usually don't judge things too harshly but there are a few key points I'd like to bring up about this set. First there is no center in the back of the tap holders. It is good practice to align the tap with a spring center to ensure perendicularity and reduce breakage. Second is the size. It's a pretty big handle considering a 7/16 tap is about as big as it will hold. I wouldn't recommend the ratchet handle for anything under 10-32, it would be too easy to break a tap. It does include a regular rod too but then it's no different than a $10 tap wrench. Last I'd like to mention the ratchet. While it is a convenient feature it will require reversing the ...

    So far so good.

    I am an honest person so I'll start off saying that I have only used this set on a couple of easy small jobs, so I can not be too objective in an honest way. That being said, I am a real tool guy that loves and knows tools. This set is more than just a step above the average set and near the top of the line, much more costly options out there. I can also say that I have had, and do have GearWrench tools in rachets and sockets and I would give them an A as far as performance and customer support. I would recomend this set . It is a very well made set and I can use the Rachet for other things. i would recommend, and recomend highly so far.
