    Soyuz, if it ain't broke why fix it.

    The Haynes series of spaceflight related books are excellent. Well researched, written and informative (as are all their other books). Plenty of drawings, original technical diagrams, and period photos. A great record of the early and recent history of spaceflight. This is a great book about the Soyuz, the most successful craft ever sent into orbit.
