    Enjoyable entertainment!

    John Carter was one of those movies that didn't get much attention when it came out in theaters. My wife and I were going to see another popular movie,( I can't remember the name) but couldn't get seats because the time was sold out. So we chose to go see John Carter instead. I loved it, right up my alley. Action packed adventure from the beginning to the end. Great story line. I have a feeling that the near future is going to bring more light to the Earth- Mars connection. This was a movie that nobody has really heard of, except those who love science fiction, although I don't think it's fiction. I think it's like many movies coming out these days, it's Hollywood's way of letting us in on the long awaited disclosure of what's really happening in our universe. Star Trek, Star Wars, etc., don't be too shocked, when you find out the truth that such scenarios have existed for may years. We have been kept in the dark for far too long now. Our debt slavery will soon be over, thanks to our friends who don't want to see our planet self destruct.

    BAD quality!

    I'm sorry, BUT THIS DVD DOESN'T WORK! I knew I was getting it second hand, but this isn't worth the money since it doesn't play in the DVD player. It freeze frames EVERY 2 MINUTES! IF I COULD HAVE FOUND IT NEW, I WOULD HAVE BOUGHT IT!

    I was skeptical that disney could make a good sci-fi especially w/actors vs animated but you have to remember unlimited funds are good for movie budgets . Its basically a love story something like a cross between beauty and the beast and star wars , the acting is good the story engaging and great special effects . Due to the violence I suggest parents watching this first . This is not like shrek or Lion king this is a good non animated sci-fi film that I am happy to add to my permanent collection ( and I am picky ) . I did enjoy shrek and lion king but this is different .

    Enough twist and turns to entertain the "I know what's gonna happen next person" and swashbuckling too !! who knew ?? Not me !

    Good action adventure!

    It is interesting to see portrayed life on another planet (Mars) with other cultures and learn about them. The story held our interest, was exciting and moved along well. Writing this review makes me want to watch it again! Good CGI effects, good humor.

    Must-have Bonus Disc for John Carter fans

    Bonus disc came in original case, has 20 minutes of bonus material (deleted scene, featurette from filmmakers) not included on the regular Blu-Ray (also good quality). Well-worth it for those who missed out on Best Buy 3D version when it was originally sold in stores. The original DVD that came with it was also in good condition.
