About this product

Product Information

Test your aim in the Nintendo Wii shooter "Link's Crossbow Training," featuring a compilation of various playing modes. Set in the fictional world of Hyrule, you take control of the legendary hero Link, who battles the forces of evil. In this game, you use the Wii controllers to shoot at a variety of targets to rack up points within the designated time limit. The game features 27 levels across nine different stages, based upon classic Zelda locations from the hit Nintendo title "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess." With so many different level types, there is plenty of content to occupy hours of gameplay."Link's Crossbow Training" features three different main modes. Target practice is a first-person mode in which the goal is to shoot at and destroy as many targets as possible within the limited time span. Most of the objects are stationary, but as the difficulty becomes progressively harder, they begin to move around. The Defender is a third-person, over-the-shoulder mode type. The action takes place on rails, but you do have the ability to freely move the camera. The goal in this mode is to defeat the enemies and achieve the highest score possible. The third and final mode, called Ranger mode, gives gamers free control to move around the environment using the Wii remote and the Nunchuk attachment. The goal is to find and defeat 25 enemies which are located around the stage. However, you are not just be defeating random bad guys. The game also features two epic boss battles: A face off against a powerful knight and a giant skeleton that tests your shooting abilities. At the end of each level, your points are tabulated based on how many objects you hit. Depending on how well you performed, you earn medals and unlock new stages. As the levels increase in difficulty, gamers need to hone their skills and learn the layout of the environments. It's a game that rewards careful practice.Once you are done with the single-player mode, team up with two to four friends and play the multiplayer mode for hours of additional excitement and fun. In the multiplayer mode, players take turns completing each stage one at a time. When one player finishes, they pass the controller to the next person. Stars are awarded to the person with the highest score at the end of the round. With a 2007 release date by Nintendo, this unique shooter is rated T for Teen due to mild violence. However, players of all ages can play and enjoy it. "Link's Crossbow Training" is functional and easier with the Wii zapper, a gun-shaped plastic shell that mimics a weapon. Place the Wii remote inside the zapper and it gives you the full functionality of a regular Wii controller. Aim the zapper at the Wii's sensor bar and pull the trigger to fire your weapon and see how the Wii zapper provides great immersion and control. It is also used for a variety of other shooting games.

    crossbow training

I think it's cool the way they integrate the wiimote into the gun. the actual gun is light weight but more comfortable than using the wiimote alone. Also the gun works with another game I have resident evil dark side chronicles: in this game the wiimote gets my arm tired the gun should make it more fun. fyi: I had to adjust settings in the game to make it track the gun movement better. no biggie. I also think it would be comfortable in nintendo lands zelda game. As far as the links crossbow game it's actually pretty fun. If you liked twilight princess then it's set in the same game. obviously dated graphics but still very fun. The high score is good but the environments are fun too: you get to go through an enemy camp snipe shooting the bad guys and their are multiple rail type shooter ...

  • Nostalgic

Loaded up the old save files I had on my console and played the night away with this baby. Haven't played it in eight+ years, my kid self didn't have any progress made with only bronze medals. But as an adult I can finally enjoy the game to its fullest, play each level to earn platinum medals and achieve ridiculous scores. If you've never played this game you are missing out on the true capability of motion controls. Makes you feel like you have an old style arcade machine with zapper gun in your hand. With each giving a promising challenge you will try learn how to master the crossbow such as link has over his many life's.

  • Very good minor issues but still good

It’s just that I had such a good time playing the game with family but one issue and you might agree with is that it’s quite short easy to finish in less than 1 or 2 hours

  • Link

It's just a cheap piece of plastic that you hook your controls to but you get to play a game with link on it what more do you want

  • Great game!

One of my favorite Wii games in high school, was super glad to find it available. Gameplay just as I remembered, graphics still stand strong and the music is great. Fun game for the Wii!
