With brandished blades and futuristic firepower, stand against an evil empire in this fighting adventure from the creator of the PC's Dark Forces and Jedi Knight. Designer Justin Chin brings skill and experience gained in the development of those successful LucasArts titles to lead the new Infinite Machine studio in the creation of its initial release. Originally intended for the PC like those earlier adventures, New Legends has been restructured and refined to thrive as a native Xbox game, with particular consideration paid to camera angles and controller interface.<br><br>New Legends blends science fiction with traditional Chinese folklore. The game is set in a future China reminiscent of ages past, as the land is divided into traditional feudal clans and mystical beings are said to roam the countryside. Now the dynasty of the dreaded lord Xao Gon grows in power, expanding in influence and threatening life and liberty with every advance. Only the Soo Nation stands against this encroaching evil, led by the heroic Sun Soo. As Sun, the player embarks on a mission to stop Xao Gon from conquering the homeland.<br><br>Gameplay is designed to provide a steady stream of fast-paced action in the framework of an epic quest. Sun Soo begins with a selection of weapons and more become available as he defeats major enemies and makes his way through the game. Different weapon combinations can be used to different effects, bringing elements of strategy and character development to the combat-oriented adventure. The hero can carry up to four weapons at once, so he'll want a good selection of melee, ranged, and defensive armaments as he faces the unknown challenges that lie around each corner and over each hillside.
