    4 movies, one collection worth the money

    First off, Alien is a sci-fi/horror classic. Aliens brings action the genre. Alien 3 is, I must admit, a step down from the first two movies. While not unwatchable, it's still a decent flick. The assembly cut of Alien 3 fixes a lot of the issues in the theatrical edition. It's worth a watch. Alien Resurrection was, admittedly, flawed, especially some of its writing, but not a terrible movie. I recommend you give the Alien Quadrilogy a watch for yourself and form your own opinions of the movies, the theatrical editions and special editions.

    Missing the special features disc

    If you want to access the special Features that the muther mode promises you will need the special features disc that is not included in this one. Other than that you get the directors and special edition cuts of the movies as well, which isn't too bad for this low price. I just feel like I'm missing out on the total experience.

    Great value for fans of the Alien series.

    Not only do you receive the original 4 movies but you also receive director cuts of these films. Alien and Aliens are the best of the bunch. The remaining 2 films are entertaining but not in the same league as the first 2 films in the series.

    It is a total surprise!

    For example, Alien 2: The movie is introduced by the director James Cameron himself. He tells you how and why there was never a full version. And here it is now for you only 30 minutes longer!!! It is also Alien 1, 2, 3 and 4. So you get the whole story in high quality. It is not just blown up to HD size, it is remastered meaning re-recorded from the film in High Definition. And the disks have lot of extras about production of the films, etc. I recommend it for true fans. And I recommend Prometheus which is Alien Episode Zero!
