I always wanted a cup like this to drink my morning coffee from. How disapointed I was when the cup I purchased 'crazed' upon its first use when washed it out before use. I purchased several more, only to find the same thing happened twice again. (This was washing with just tepid water.) The item looks good and makes a great sundae dish but I am not game enough to use it for hot beverages. After the cup 'crazed', the white became a grey or bone tone colour. It may be just these ones I purchased for AUS $5.00 each that 'crazed'. They look great and could be use for serving sweets, dip sauces, etc. at parties, or just as an interior decoration in your Man (Nan) Cave. They need to put a hole near the top of the cistern (water tank) to prevent the cup from floating when you wash it in the kitchen sink. It does look nice sitting on my window ledge and on top of my girl-friend's fridge.Read full review

I got four of these mugs for $12. Bargain. But they are extremely poor quality and not fit for use as a mug. There were lots of cracks in the glaze when the mug was just out of the packaging. Then when I filled it with cold tap water, the water leaked through the glaze. It's just a breeding ground for bacteria. And while the water was sitting in the mug, I could hear even more glaze cracking. The glaze could still be heard cracking when there was no water in the mug. I probably can't return them, so I might see if I can use them as mini pots for herbs in the kitchen. Neat and fun idea. What a shame about the quality.
