these hole saws are somewhat iffey. If you get them to work, the smaller saws cut nicely into 4mm thick steel. So they cut well. The issue I found is that the pilot drill is not matching the forces put on them in use. One broke on the first attempt. The further issue I found is that not all of the pilot drills in the set are the same dimension. So I could not simply get one out of another saw. Which means that particular size is no of no use to me. In use, I found the way to do it is to drill a pilot hole separately; then simply use that to guide the drill. Thus no strain on it.
