Battery life appears to be about equal to other tablets I have owned. Speed of loading pages are about the same as other brands about this age. Price was appealing vs other brands of equivalent vintage. The tablet looks new. Very happy with the purchase.

Being an anti Apple person, I would have to say this is the only game in town, this machine kicks butt. The only drawback for me is the size, I would prefer a 7" tablet, but it looks like the 7" version of this product (Asus Memo 370T) has been cancelled for political reasons. For a little less money you can get the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 Plus, but you get a lot less performance. Also consider this before buying a tablet at this time, Samsung makes the "IRIS" display for the new Ipad, and will no doubt release their own tablet with that display in the near future, so stand by. The only other question is, why are people willing to pay so much at auction here, when you can order one one of these Asus machines from Amazon for $499 with free shipping?
An excellent tablet, the only real downside IMHO is that WiFi/GPS isn't as good as on the original but it is acceptable. Pro's versus the TF101: - a decent microphone. - newer Tegra 3 chip (better video/gaming performance). - better stock firmware. - better dock circuitry. Con's versus the TF101: - Sound system not as good. - WiFi has much less effective range to speed ratio. - Not as good a battery life.
I shopped and compared tablets for several months and made up my mind that I did not want an iPad due to the "closed" system those have. This Transformer is fast and clear and am very glad I made the choice I did. I don't want a "netbook style" computing device as I have both a business laptop and a small Gateway netbook. This is exactly what I wanted to take with me for day trips. It holds a charge without the keypad for several days if not used and about 7 hours constant use. I take very good care of my devices and expect to use this for a few years. I can also double the memory as an SD card can be slipped right in to save the hard drive!
