I had, bought an Android Tablet of a lower-priced variety, and having never used one previously, on unpacking it I was anxious to find the instruction booklet. What had come with the tablet was a few very small pages in very poor English. But with the help of that meagre booklet and my past computer experience, I was able to get it up and running. However, I felt that I was missing the information I needed to make full use of its features. Then I spotted the "Android Tablets in Easy Steps" on eBay and decided to order a copy. The book has 192 pages so a fair read for the average person who is not used to bookreading, but the text is interesting enough for you to keep reading and I finished it in one evening. There is a lot of information about aspects that you would not be able to work out unless you had been told or had read about, so anyone with a tablet or thinking of buying one really needs something like this. Also the way the book is set up it can be easily used as a reference for when you decide to try some new aspect or feature for the first time at a later date .The index is first-rate and the chapter headings allow you to go straight to the part you need at the moment, without having to read anything irrelevant to your present task or problem. There is information about specific popular models, how to add extra accessories, how to move icons around, make folders, how to use Bluetooth and the builtin WiFi, to download Apps, how to delete them if you have to, including music from the Play Store, how to set up the time and date and the calendar, how to make Skype phone calls and a lot more, mostly useful information. I'd recommend it.Read full review
