Good, but not Great
Pluses and minuses. Pluses: 1. Display is beautiful! 2. The signal strength meter is useful. 3. Transmit and receive audio are great 4. CHIRP programmable 5. Comes with programming cable Minuses: 1. 5 character channel names 2. Speaker on bottom results in muffled audio. Mounting with the speaker facing me is much better. 3. No fan, so transmitting at high power can get the radio hot. 4. Single knob for channel and volume. Overall, the radio works great and I like it. With longer channel names (hey, the display has 7 characters for frequency), a better speaker, and two knobs, this would be a great radio! Nice small rig
Received,set into existing base, hooked up and programmed manually in one night. Use you tube to manual program easy once you get used to it. Have it on a home made j pole and was able to contact repeaters up to 50 miles away. Swr on mid power is 1.1 good little radio so far. Only complaint is the beep function is a little overbearing but you can turn it off in menu. Absolute top value for money!
My experience so far is that the Anytime AT778-UV is excellent value for money. Build quality is outstanding and it performs to spec, if RF power output is a little lower than stated in the 70cm band. Features, quality of transmitted and received audio, top quality microphone, for the money it really takes some catching let alone beating!

Easy to program channels with chirp. If you wanna change the button settings you have to in USA find there software? Why? It's in Chinese, Russia, why?
