Awesome kit with easy to read and follow instructions.

I have a 1986 C10 pickup that I done away with the computer. I had a problem with the steering that every time I made a sharp turn the motor would stall. After figuring out that the power steering pump was putting out to much pressure and not having the computer to increase the RPM of the motor that was the problem. I had heard about this kit from a friend that put a rack and pinion in his car and used this kit to lower the pressure for the rack. I decided to give it a try on my problem. Low and behold it worked out really good. The kit has instructions that is very clear on how to use it. Turned out to be the easiest job to do I loved it. I now have a 1986 C10 with a 70's drive train set up. At 75 years old I needed something simple to work on.

    Didn't Work!

I bought this power steering pressure control kit to stiffen the steering in my old truck. I had installed a brand new power steering pump but then started to experience looseness and extremely light steering. At highway speeds, this was not safe, almost uncontrollable. Based on the description and a few reviews this kit would reduce the pump pressure and tighten the steering. Nope, it didn't! The steering firmness really didn't change much, maybe a tiny little bit. I used all the shims in the kit for the maximum pressure reduction, as stated in the instructions, really didn't change much. A lot of work for basically no benefit!

  • My Borgson pressure reducing kit

Bought this kit to lower the pressure in my GM power steering pump to use with a Ford Mustang II T-bird Rack and pinion. Steering is hyper sensitive to any movement of the steering wheel. It’s not installed yet so my fingers are crossed.

  • Power steering fix

This product was a very simple install. The instructions were very simple to understand. I used 3 shims as the chart recommended. 1940 Chevy car v8 Chevy with mustang ii power steering. Drives fantastic now.

  • Great repair and really was worth the money.

This was a very easy install. My truck was just to light steering at highway speed. Installed 2 shims and now it is like driving a new truck.
