Razor gives a real close shave without a real effort. I'm using it for over a month now and never charged it yet. One of the main reasons for buying the Braun is that there replacement heads are less expensive than others. I used to own a Norelco some years ago and there replacement heads cost better then half the price of a new razor.

Yes it is 20% more than the 7 series but it will also get 20% closer to your skin, vibrate 20% faster, feel 20% smoother, etc etc. It's worth it for people like me with fair skin and thick strong hairs from vitamins, but it may not be worth it for others. I am not so convinced it is worth this pricetag as Braun products are always more expensive because of the name like German products always are.

I’ve never been able to use an electric razor due to the combination of sensitive skin and coarse beard. Thankfully, the Braun 9 series handles the hair without tearing up my face. It cuts almost as close as a straight razor, but gets the job done quick and easy. Highly recommended!

It is more expensive than others. And watch out for the bill when it comes to replacing the cutter block! Also, shaver does not seem to turn on with the cord directly connected to the shaver -- watch out when the battery becomes weak, since you'll need to buy a new shaver instead of just using it with the cord.

Overall, great! lightweight, doesn't pull at hairs like my old norelco did. The value really depends on what price you can find it at. Watch details carefully - razor is basically same, but different model numbers have different accessories included. (I did get what I was expecting.)
