Reasonably quiet 10 Gbps capable switch
This is a reasonably quiet 10 Gbps capable switch out of the box; it sits in a rack next to my desk and noise levels have been quite tolerable. (I do plan on putting different fans to make it even quieter, but this is far from essential.) It is not picky about which DAC cable you use, unlike some other models I was checking out while shopping for this networking upgrade. There's a very long thread on the ServeTheHome forums with a lot of information on how to set this up in a home lab environment. Feature-wise it leaves me plenty of room to grow and tinker with things like VLANs, ACLs, link aggregation, etc.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
