Works great. Soup turned out great and the 1.8L capacity meant I could put a lot into the pot. Buttons are a little stiff and you got to press hard. Didn’t know about the separate battery compartment that operates the LCD buttons/screen. Which can only be opened and battery replaced licensed operator. That is a nuisance! What if I don’t live near one? And why design a separate battery for the screen when the appliance runs on electricity?

I have been looking for a Rice cooker that has Stainless steel bowl for 10 years, but never find one, not even in HK. Then I find the Tiger has a ceremic bowl, but it is just a Coating. Then I stumble across Buffalo with a full stainless steel bowl that is actually made and available in Aust, in my own back yard. And they cost less than Tiger Rice Cooker. I ordered one straight away, I got the latest Smart cooker, so I can do a few things in it. I was worry the collender on top is plastic, and think I have to buy one to replace it, as I do not want a plastic on top of the rice. Then when it arrive, the collender on top of rice is also Stainless steel, I so SO happy. I am 100% happy with this product. It will last many many years.

Cooks brown rice very well which is what we use it for only. Great cooker. The only negative is the lid design. Cannot take the inside off to clean. Makes the cleaning difficult.

After cooking, the remaining steam water no way out, when open the lid, every time need to clean up. Also did not see the 18/10 stainless steel logo. How do we know that this is the real 18/10?
