Great watch on a very comfortable band. Large watch with a long band -- this watch fit my very large wrist and looks great, it may be too large for smaller wrists. The red, white and blue color scheme has drawn positive comment. The Precisionist movement is very accurate. The small second hand moves two times a second so it moves more smoothly than most quartz movements but does not move smoothly like many other Precisionist movements on Bulova watches. The white hands sometimes blend with the white sub-dials so it takes a second to read the watch. It is not difficult to read -- the red tips on the hands are always easily visible -- it is just not as immediately readable as the pictures may suggest. Despite its size the watch is not particularly heavy and the brushed stainless steel case looks great. It wears comfortably. Great quality watch for the price. Very happy with the purchase!Read full review

I have owned a few Bulova watches in the past and then transitioned to other brands within the same price range (Seiko and citizen). As much as I love the retro appeal of this watch, it just looks cheap. The box was well designed and elegant. I felt like me time and money was spend designing and finishing the box of this was watch apposed to the watch itself. I'm sure some people will love this watch but with an msrp of $750 it wears like a $150-200 Fossil. I am not a watch critic and only commenting aesthetics. I rather not get into comparing the Japanese movement against a Seiko or other brands.

Very nice deal for a watch of this caliber. keep times well, chronograph function works excellent, sits on my wrist comfortably and is lighter than expected despite it’s metal band.

Only regret is that it is too big in my opinion. If it was a 44 mm diameter it would be perfect and closer to the original. Other than that it is a unique piece. Not worth the retail price at at this price, a great buy.

Another beautiful “Archive” model from Bulova. A little big but impressive. I love my Oceanographer it just smacks of Jacques Cousteau and “ Under the Sea”. But this model, for half the price gives the 262kHz UHF movement of the Precisionist. Plus a cool Retro racing “ Monaco” style watch face. Deal!
