The title of this movie is Solomon and Sheba which is the names of the of the characters.
I have a special interest in 50's & 60's movie soundtracks. The music at that time was excreting to hear and fitted perfectly fitted to Bible and action movies. Recently, a lot past movies have been up graded to the full score which is a treasure by all of the great and many composers. I feel this was the golden period of movie soundtracks. It seem that movies these days composer these days are writing brilliant scores which are collectible .I have a special interest in 50's & 60's movie soundtracks. The music at that time was excreting to hear and fitted perfectly fitted to Bible and action movies. From Vinyl - But REALLY Complete!
Having owned the vinyl original soundtrack of Cleopatra in the 1960s, I have been waiting for years for it to become available on CD. A few years ago, a double CD of the complete score was issued by Varese Sarabande. It's an excellent CD but at the end of the final track (Antony... Wait) the shimmering bells are missing. Late in 2021, Bando Sonora in the EU issued a one disc edition of the original soundtrack which - again - does not have the bells at the end of the final track. Interestingly enough, the liner notes that comes with this issue even quote Joseph Mankiewicz - "And at the very finish - UTILIZING THE EXQUISITE TINKLING BELLS WHICH FELL LIKE RAIN UPON HER CORONATION - Mr. North reminds us that, with everything said and done, Cleopatra was still queen." Having listened to it carefully, I have to say that it appears to be a nicely cleaned up copy FROM VINYL. Certainly more listenable than any YouTube copy or internet download of the vinyl score. But still... from a vinyl source. However, the final track is almost in mint condition AND it includes the shimmering bells that are on the original source. So, for those lovers of film music, and those like me who want the complete score, this CD is highly recommended... with the understanding this it is not a re-mastered version, but a good, clean copy from a vinyl source.

I own the 33RPM LP of the soundtrack. The sonic quality of the CD is lacking compared to the LP. The CD lacks the clarity and depth of the vinyl record.
