Powerful and easy to use
This flash unit is very powerful yet not too large. I have used it both on the hotshoe and also free-standing. Mounted on the camera, the speedlite throws out enough light to make any direction of bounce flash work well. Off-camera, both the flash triggered and radio transmitted triggered flash functions worked extremely well, and setting up the flash as either master or slave in a multi flash configuration was simple and intuitive. I also tried the flash with light modifiers, and there was plenty of power for use of the soeedlite with an umbrella or large softbox. I tried out this flash in multiple shot sequences, and I found the flash recharge speed to be fast. In summary, the Canon 600 EX II RT Speedlite is an excellent unit and simple to use for straightforward everyday use, as well as in a complex multiple flash setup. This top of the range model speedlite is wothwhile investing in.
