This phone is gonna last a long time I believe. It is great for calling, texting and email, which is all I need in a phone. The only areas I dont like is that the flap for covering the charger port is flimsily attached, and even when it is stored loosely in a side pocket it wants to dial random numbers. It takes great pics, videos and call clarity is excellent. Well worth the price.

Perhaps back in 2005, this would've been a great item to have in the accessories arsenal, but 2016...a regular flip phone should out-duel this in terms of practicality. The speaker volume at high cracks, the sensitivity lock screen is a burden, the flip out panel serves no real benefit compared to a user friendly flip phone of the day, and at brand new, the price tag is over the top and looking at the 2nd hand used, they seem to all have been tossed and stepped on , its gonna have to be a 2.5 stars.

I bought this phone because my LG Chocolate Touch was having some serious issues. I decided to buy the Brigade because I text more than I talk on my phone and the keyboard on the Brigade is very good. I also needed a tough phone because I am constantly working outside so my phone tends to go through a beating (especially during the summer). I have had the phone for a little while and am very happy with how it is doing. The texting is much easier than my previous phones. It is also easy to navigate through the menues. The camera is very good compared any other camera I have had on a phone. It is a little bulky but it is easier to get used to than I thought it would be. The ringer and speaker phone is very clear and loud. The battery will last about 3 days with light talking and moderate texting. In short, I am very happy with this phone and feel like I could take it anywhere. Also, the reception is much better than my Chocolate ever was. On average (especially country areas) I get at least one more bar of service than my Chocolate ever did. I would buy this product again and I would recommend it to anyone who is active, who likes the outdoors, or anyone who works outside. It is great for talking and texting.Read full review
Good overall features, easy to use (even on Verizon Reseller network) durable - I bought this because I had the first generation of the G'zone and it lasted for years of rough construction industry abuse. It is nice to have the full qwerty key board for text. The phone volume for people on the other end is low. You almost need to shout to get people to hear you. needless to say you will never have a private low volume conversation on this phone. The best way to get callers to hear you is to open the phone and use it in speaker mode as is seems that the sensitivity of the mic is turned up in this mode(again, no way to have private phone call) It has blue tooth technology built in and that may be an option worth exploring to make the ease of use better for the people you talk to. It seems to have the durability that I expect from this line but time will tell how it holds up.Read full review
I had this phone almost 4 years, it was great. I must have dropped it a zillion times but it always worked. Needless to say, it isn't waterproof. It met is demise after I washed it with my pants. I really wish this phone wasn't discontinued, I would go to the Verizon store and replace it with the same phone. Its features, like using the internet, wasn't that great, and it didn't have a lot of space for storing pictures, but in the end, all I needed was talk and text. And I loved that it had a keyboard. I would recommend this phone.
