This RAM worked out great for an older laptop (an old Gateway) that I was upgrading from 1Gb to 4Gb for my daughter. The MB specs listed a max of 2Gb but I was able to put this ram (4Gb total) into the machine and it worked very well. I had absolutely no compatibility problems and everything worked great.

If it looks too good to be true, it probably is. This RAM goes for $50+ directly off of Crucial's website so I thought I was getting a steal of a deal. After receiving the RAM and having issues with it I decided to reach out to Crucial support to verify whether or not this was actually Crucial RAM. The person on the chat thought it was, I emailed pictures to their support and they confirmed the batch number was legitimate, but a couple of days later I received another email stating that after closer inspection, despite the material and batch numbers matching, the label was indeed FAKE. Turns out they just took a legitimate label and copied it over and over. Pretty sneaky. I only wish I had found this out before I left positive feedback. I'm literally on the phone with eBay support now trying to figure out if I can do anything about this. Yeah, its only twenty bucks, I get it, but twenty bucks is a lot of money to some people.Read full review

These are great to add to a Dell D630. Flash the BIOS to version A17 and install Windows 7 64-bit and you're rockin' with a 64-bit 8GB system!
