Author Biography
Tracey Eaton was the Dallas Morning News bureau chief in Cuba from 2000 to early 2005. Before that, he headed the paper's Mexico City bureau. He has been a staff writer at seven daily newspapers, including the Miami Herald and the Orange County Register. He was metropolitan editor at the Houston Chronicle before moving to Florida. Since 2010, Eaton has written freelance articles for the Florida Center for Investigative Journalism, USA Today, the Dallas Morning News and other publications. He is a member of Investigative Reporters & Editors and the National Press Photographers Association. Eaton, a former Fulbright scholar, is an assistant professor at Flagler College in St. Augustine, Fla. He teaches journalism and photography classes. His blogs include Along the Malecon, which features original reporting, stories and photos about Cuba.
