When it comes to aerial photography, DJI drones are the market leader. Their designing motto is “form follows function” which results in drones that are easy-to-use and high tech. In a PCMag review of the best 10 drones on the market in December 2017, the top 7 are all DJI.

The king of the drones is the DJI Phantom 4 advance 4k drone and this fantastic quadcopter comes with a 20 mm wide angle camera lens and 4k video recording. Best of all, it’s really easy to fly, with built in obstacle avoidance and return-to-home technology.

If you’re looking for a drone that is more compact in size then you can’t go past the DJI Spark mini quadcopter which will literally fit in the palm of your hand. The DJI Spark mini can be controlled from your smart device, or, you can interact with it using hand gestures.

If you like the idea of a smaller drone but want a camera with greater capabilities then an excellent choice would be the DJI Mavic Pro Platinum which can deliver 23 minute flight times with stable 4k video and high resolution 12 MP still shots. The “follow” flight mode is a really popular feature on this model.

The DJI Inspire 2 drone is without question a pricey model, but with a top speed of over 100 km/h, landing gear that can retract and a camera with full 360 degree swivel, this is a drone for professionals.
