It gives the location of old diggings but unfortunately it only covers a portion of Victoria, I would have liked to have other areas covered like Aldorado, Walhalla also areas around Warburton etc. The maps are only generalised some areas not really that accurate when you go there, but that's still better than heading off not knowing where one is going. I shouldn't complain, I bought a couple of CD's labelled as gold maps of Victoria and they were really useless, they were copies of fire control areas around Victoria....just a load of garbage for $25. They just made a quick buck out of plagiarising forestry maps At least this author took his time in compiling good quality maps that are readable and give you an idea where the gold MIGHT be. Good on ya Doug.

The Atlas is a great product and very comprehensive it is a large book and maybe in the future make it smaller even if it’s a few pages more as it won’t matter but really can’t complain and great maps and detail

Loved it, got it as a present handed to me. Though does anyone know where i can find a book with similar dedication towards walhalla, woodpoint mansfield belt? those are the areas i am in and have found several gullies and creeks which were not supposed to have gold, some were not on the old maps, as soon as this quarantine is over i am going to hunt my self a Reef, 3 days panning and sluicing session at this secret spot last December =)
