Typical Dyson ... Expensive .... but..... does a good job.
The Dyson V10 Animal is easy to manoeuvre around furniture and not having a long electrical card to pull around it makes vacuuming a lot quicker. The stated 60 minute battery usage time is a bit optimistic as the usage time with a fully charged battery is closer to 30 minutes. Perhaps this will improve after a few charge cycles. For the price that Dyson charge for the unit we feel that the soft (fluffy) head for hard floors should be a standard inclusion with a new unit. The multi-use motorised head supplied works OK on hard floors (tiles and wood floors) but this is a compromise between the different floor surfaces. We have been users of Dyson vacuum cleaners for many years so this purchase was an upgrade from a V6 Handstick. The V6 sold quickly as a second-hand unit.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Totally happy
I've used my V10 throughout my 3 bedroom house, which has a combination of carpet and hard floors, for a couple of months now. Its quieter than I expected, its removes all of the dirt and fluff and does it on a single charge (about 45 mins), set on medium. I have a large black rug that is constantly showing every little bit of fluff, dog hair and general, walked-in rubbish. My V10 cleans it beautifully with a single pass and the evidence of its efficiency can be seen in the volume of dust and debris I empty. So easy to use
Great, easy to use. Perfect for my 3bedrooom unit. Just two things, the start button gets pushed so easily I find myself accidentally pressing it all the time. Fantastic vacuum, well worth it!
What a great vacuum. the suction pipe and the opening and discharge mechanism was a bit "sticky" when we got it, but a quick spray with silicon on the areas was all it needed to smoothly operate. Very easy to install the wall attachment and charger which makes it so easy to just hang the vacuum up after use and it automatically charge until full for the next use. Battery capacity is very good, especially when using the vacuum on the medium setting. Our house is a 5 bedroom double storey with half tile half carpeted areas and one charge is enough to clean the whole house. The battery do run out much quicker on max setting, but we found that the medium setting is more than enough to get the floors and carpets clean. Overall it is a bit expensive, but then you do get what you pay for and that is an excellent vacuum, quality build and long battery life. Well worth it!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

It says animal and we have found just how much fur our cat sheds on a weekly basis.
With a diagnosis of heart failure I can now do the whole house in one go.I find it easier to use and being longer than previous machines my back doesn't hurt.
