The packing looked pretty dreadfull, but it appears to have survived the trip. It came without the sheet-feed guide, but I took the one off my dead LQ-570+ and it's working fine. I use this printer for anything needing fan-fold paper or to print stuff that's going to be thrown away soon.

I bought one of these brand new back in 1993.. Used it HARD for about 8 years with only 4 or 5 ribbon replacements.. (school papers, banners, even crude pictures!) Decided I should "upgrade".. What a joke.. After MANY ink jet and laser printers from various brands had let more down over the years, I pulled it out of the closet and put it back to work mostly printing invoices and diagrams now.. It just works, day in and day out. Crisp clear documents every time! When 6 ribbons that last for a year or more cost well under $20 there is no question that the little extra time it takes to print a document is nothing compared to the savings on ink and toner..
We've used this product to print three-part invoices for our business for at least 9 years. WE've never had a problem with it - it prints cleanly, quickly and is relatively easy to set up. A great printer for it's purpose.
Replacement for older same model printer which took a power spike. Works great, plug and print

This item was made for multi-form usage. It is doing the job, except for some pre-programmed letters that print on every page at the top. May be something I could get rid of if I knew how. Can't say anything bad about it. It is doing the job I need it for. May be a little slow, but don't have anything to compare it with.
