I remember loving this series when I was in college, 6 years ago. I was really excited about getting it in the mail the other day, but was a little dissapointed with the first few episodes. They just seemed to move slowly and the actions of the characters seemed a little unrealistic. I don't know many college freshmen who are out of their element who are as bold as Felicity. I am looking forward to re-aquainting myself with the series, though, because it was special to me at one point in my life. The DVDs are packaged well. I own several other TV series on DVD and don't care for how some of them are boxed. "Felicity" has 3 separate, hard plastic cases with two DVDs in each case. It makes the DVDs easy to access--no worries of dropping the DVD while juggling the box, case and DVD.
... to tell you whether or not you should buy this DVD, then it's probably not enough. "Felicity" is a silly TV show that was on cable from 1998 to 2002 (or somewhere in that era). This happened to coincide with my wife's Freshman through Senior years in college. It's about a girl named Felicity (...probably didn't need to write that part...) who makes some new friends at school in New York city. She makes out with a bunch of guys, sleeps with at least one [we're just talking Freshman year here], and fights with her parents a lot. Between her job, her classes, her roommate, her friends, and life in the big city, there is plenty of room for drama of every kind. The two (primary) love interests are Ben and Noel. I think Ben is better and blonder, but my wife likes Noel for some reason. I think that later seasons vindicate me, as Noel goes completely off the deep end (Senior Year, perhaps? Don't forget about "Leon"). Ben is dangerous and mysterious and sleeps with a married woman. Also, he's on the swim team, so the ladies get a lot of nice nut-hugger scenes. If you're unfamiliar with the show, then you're probably not going to try it out by buying six DVDs worth of episodes. But if you already like the show, you might as well start here. We had to buy the entire Season 1 twice because we lost the last disc. So if anyone out there wants or needs discs 1-5, we might be able to strike a deal.Read full review
I've been revisiting this series now that my children are raising families of their own. I watched this series with my daughter and friends when they were in high school. It's a good series and brings up many of the possible struggles young adults have as they navigate their lives after high school. The characters are well drawn and engaging. Produced by J. J. Abrams and Matt Reeves, it has the kind of believable dialogue and excellent writing you'd expect.

This is the first season in a great series by J.J. Abrams (the creator of Alias) called Felicity. It follows a girl named Felicity through her freshmen year at college after she follows her high school crush across the country to school in New York. It is fun loads of fun to watch and does an amazing job of examining the ups, downs, and outright funny things that can happen as a person starts out in the sometimes scary world of college. I would recommend it to anyone and have throughly enjoyed this TV show! I bought this DVD set after borrowing it from a friend, because I loved it so much I had to have it for my own. I am so happy with my decision!
I bought the first season of Felicity because it is my favorite season. I like the episodes the best from that particular year. I especially love the episodes Gimme an O and Thanksgiving. They are very funny. It was also a good bargain. In the stores, a person can expect to pay $60 or more. I bought it for around $35. It was an used copy, but one could never tell. The DVDs looked like they were never played. The cover art was great. I have been a big fan of Felicity since it first aired on the WB. I plan on buying the other seasons as well, but season one is highly recommended.
