Hoya makes excellent filters but what is very nice about their polarizing filters is they a generally neutral in color cast. I have used other high quality polarizing filters but some gave a warm cast to the image though easily corrected it also creates an extra step in post. The quality of the filter is very high and have a slim frame is great.

The truth is that I have not yet used this filter. I am still learning the Nikon d7100 camera. I've configured the camera and am just starting to experiment with it. It's been a tough cold winter. I got this filter based on past experience with Hoya circular polarizer filters in my film days. One can photograph objects in the water column, like a fish, without glare or see the bottom of a stream or lake. I am an avid fly fisher. I've used these filters under diffuse lighting conditions, when light seems to come from everywhere. It enhances clarity as a pair of polarized sunglasses do. I like these filters especially for water shots.
The Hoya slim design circular polarizer is a economical alternative to German filters, performance being a close second with a modest savings. Built with an aluminum ring, it may get stuck a bit more than German filters made of brass in extreme weather, easily avoided by not over-tightening. Hoya filters tend to be a bit annoying to clean successfully compared to their better counterparts.
Vary sharp filter: with 20 mega-pixel sensor (NX300) it seems that the pixels are limiting the details and not a blur caused by the filter. (the kit lens is also very sharp) Full blocking of one polarization direction: an LCD screen viewed through that filter can be made completely black. Approximately one stop (EV) decrease in illumination of a non-polarized light source.
this filter is excellent for its price, it feels a little bit plasticly but the result is very good, the sky can looks darker and i can see details over clouds, and ofcourse now i can remove reflections from non metalic objects. I also noticed that it removes sun lights from objects, so i can capture for example a tree without the white shine over it. bottom line, good price, good result.
