I havent used it much at all yet, but I must say this is a great product from Gigabyte. Supports HDTV, VGA, PCI 2.0, and NO FAN. Thats a big thing for me, because even though I love nVidia graphics cards, all of theyre fans fail prematurely, so I wanted something that did not have a fan in the first place so that would'nt be a problem. Its also extremely quiet due to its incredible massive heatsink to keep things cool, and will be very reliable provided you have exceptional air flow in your case to help remove the heat. NO GPU is perfect and the only downside to this incredible piece of hardware is that its HUGE. It barley fit in my computer, I had to move a lot of wires around and even then I had to push it in very snug. I would not recommend this to somebody who is only a casual gamer, because it will take up all the space inside your computer and you wont have room for anything else. However for me, it works great as I dont add 10,000,000 accessories to my computer, I keep things simple. Nothing is perfect, but if your goal is hard core quiet gaming, this is the perfect GPU. Since this is discontinued, id recommend removing the factory fan that comes with any nVidia GPU since it will probably fail soon, and replace it with an aftermarket massive fanless heat sink. Overall, id still say 5/5Read full review
I needed a replacement video card for an older Athlon 64 X2 machine from over ten years ago that still does internet browsing duties. I don't plan on gaming with it, so an used GPU from 2009 makes sense. The card should be in a well ventilated case since its passively cooled, but it does provide completely silent operation. If you do have some vintage gaming you'd like to do its absolutely up to the task as well.
