Having a smallish (6 3/4") wrist, I'm always on the lookout for men's or unisex watches 38mm in diameter or less. I like the classic understated look of vintage small watches, but I don't want to risk buying a non-serviceable vintage mechanical item. Glycine is one of the very few Swiss manufacturers that produce a 36mm case under $1000. The MSRP for this watch is around the $1K mark, but you can find it in authorized brick-and-mortar stores for around $500. I bought it for less than $300, and at this price it's a great bargain. Consider the specs: - Swiss automatic movement - Sapphire crystal - Lumed hour and minute hands - Lumed marker - Blue sunburst dial - Display case back - 50m water resistance - Jubilee-style solid link bracelet I challenge you to find ANY watch out there having all these features for the same price (hint: you won't find one). In case it's not obvious: I love mine. The size is perfect, it's not so small that it looks like a ladies watch, but it's not so large that it looks like a strapped clock. The blue dial looks almost black most of the time, but at certain angles the sunburst pattern would catch the light and shimmer. It's gorgeous. If you have a smaller wrist like me and you're on the fence, buy it. You won't regret it at this price.Read full review

Great price, fabulous watch. I was worried that the 36mm model might be a little too small, but this is not the case. The watch is 'all dial' and wears larger than its size would suggest. The case finishing is first class and the watch keeps excellent time. The bracelet is nice, well made with solid end links, but I would have preferred screw-in, rather than pin link attachments. The watch came boxed, complete with all papers and a signed manufacturers warranty. The delivery time was excellent and I was kept fully informed of the whereabouts of the package whilst on route. Recommend this piece, especially at the discounted price. Very happy with the purchase.

As any lady or gent with small wrists knows, it is almost impossible to find a quality, affordable watch in the 34-37mm range. The Glycine Combat 6 36mm fits the bill almost perfectly. The watch itself is an absolute beauty and it keeps pretty good time, about -10 seconds a day for me. This is my first automatic watch so that surprised me a little (coming from a quartz background), but supposedly that variance is normal for watches in this price range. The watch itself easily deserves five stars, but the bracelet deserves far fewer. It’s beautifully made and signed on the clasp, but I already had a leather band picked out for the watch and I had an awful time removing the bracelet, even with one of the high-end spring bar tools. A small notch in the bracelet is the only access to the spring bar, but I was able to retract the spring bar fairly easily. What was aggravating was that even with the spring bar fully recessed at one end, I could not lift the bracelet from between the lugs. I ended up destroying the bracelet to get it off. I think the links fit too tightly between the lugs to allow the bracelet to tilt out. I have chatted with another eBay user who had the same experience. The watch is a good value for a Swiss automatic too, less than one half the cost of a German-made Junghans Max Bill 34mm (which is one of the few other small, quality, relatively affordable watches). So, I will compromise and give the watch four stars, although if you want to keep the bracelet on you will likely rate it higher.Read full review

This watch worths every pennies you paid for. I am a watch enthusiast and owned brands ranged from seiko, hamilton to omega, rolex etc., but i am still impressed with the quality of this watch. I have a 6.5' wrist and this 36mm size looks perfect on my wrist, not too small as i worried before ordering. Not to mention the beautiful blue dial and comfortable bracelet. Highly recommended!

It's a relatively thin watch, fits easily under the cuff. Wears closer to 38mm as it's all dial - shipping was relatively quick. Honestly, for the price, it's pretty good value, with a decent movement (either ETA or Sellita, Glycine uses both) with a sapphire crystal too. Unfortunately I can't speak for accuracy of the movement, don't really keep it wound (have a bunch of other watches i cycle through), but both movements used are known for being pretty decent. Only cons are that rear isn't' sapphire (can't complain, for the price), bracelet is light (endlinks are hollow) and (for me) the links were ridiculously hard to remove, had to use an awl (yes, I know) and a hammer to knock out the friction pins. It's really hard to find 36mm watches nowadays (barring 10k rolexes, tudors, breitlings, etc.). Perfect fit for me.Read full review
