Not Usable
I carefully read the instructions, spent much time experimenting with different fret wire, different strategies of holding the wire, and was never able to make it work any better than simply using a common fret wire cutting tool to trim off the tang then touching up with a file. The tool really bends the wire. It strikes me that the tool is really for something else and is being sold as a fret tang nibbler. Perhaps if the manufacurers really tested it with fret wire and made some simple engineering modifications it might work.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Was broken before fretjob was finished
The plate on which the fret is resting when cutting broke. Was cutting SS frets and the description states the tool can handle all frets. The picture showed that the tang was completely removed, but the nibbler can not cut as the picture shows. It takes only half the tang away. Do not purcase if you want to remove all of the tang from the fretwire. It will probably work with softer frets, but as said; only removes half the tang.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Disappointing
The tool leaves close to 1/32 of an inch of tang, meaning I still had to file the fret end to make it work. I might as well spit in the wind as depend on this thing. Not worth the money.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Do not buy this
This is not the tool it is listed as. It does not cleanly cut fret tangs and does not have a Grove in the die to support the fret wire while cutting. It is a sheet metal nibbler and does not work with fret wire...
