I decided to use this roadbed on my new layout and I'm happy with it. I have layed about 300 feet of it. It has some drawbacks, especially around turnouts but overall works well. Some pieces are a little wider than others - that's kind of a problem, but still workable. I've used cork before, and not I'm sure which I like better. I'm eventually going to add gravel so either choice was OK for me. I did not use the recommended glue. I felt that it was expensive, with no benefit. I used regular contact cement to glue down. I put a thin (and by the way, thin works best by far) layer on each piece and on my plywood layout and waited about ten minutes and then layed the trackbed.

Tried this roadbed due to availability and cost. OK for straight line installation but i much prefer cork for curves. I had to split down the middle with a knife as opposed to cork comes pre-cut andyou pull it apart by hand. Also this product provides no track holding ability.

Good product, easy to layout track plan using the roadbed It is durable and I recommend it, but I don't consider it entertaining. TV and music are entertaining.
