This fan has two speed settings, very high and very very high. It would have been useful to have a low setting that quietly provides a gentle breeze from beside a bed.

Poor quality based on the price paid
I've had cheap fans before, and that's fine - they cost $5. I paid $25 hoping that the quality would improve. It was the same plastic, lightweight fan that rattles as it works, that falls over easily, and makes too much noise. Also, only one speed setting works. They did offer to replace it, but I don't have time to post them photos or stay home to wait for the delivery again.

If you try to find a small compact fan in the usual retail stores, chances are, this year you won't - other than the tiny usb models. So if you have a small bedside table, you're have a problem- unless you find this model on line. Recenly received the fan and I'm very happy with it! Compact design, lightweight, two speed and it pumps out good air! .

The fan is great, but the stand is much too lightweight. The whole fan rattles so badly I had to put a folded cloth underneath it to stop it falling off my night table.
