I dislike writing a review of a product based on a very limited usage duration. There are no guarantees that such a review will still reflect the buyer's opinion of the product after a reasonable service life. For a guitar stand I would prefer to read a review after it has been used for at least two or three years. However, that said, after using this stand for daily practice and for weekly performance for a couple of months since purchase, I am very happy with the product. Unlike all of my previous guitar stands, this one is completely self-contained; that is, I do not have to connect two or three components like I must with all of my previous guitar stands. That is a huge plus. The ingenious top clamp with arms that are activated by the weight of the guitar are another bonus. The guitar will not fall off this stand (unless something breaks). The stand is also very stable and reasonably solid. However, I will not be convinced of the durability of the plastic height-adjusting trigger or the plastic tightening screw for the tripod legs until the stand has survived for several years. In fact, I am currently not folding it up to transport it because that may increase the probability of wear and tear on the plastic components. Fortunately I am playing my acoustic/electric guitar through a DI box and a house PA system so with no amp to carry there is plenty of room for the non-folded up guitar stand in my car. If the stand was completely built of metal then I would give it 5 stars. (My oldest guitar stand, all chrome-plated metal except for plastic cushioning for the guitar, has survived the rigors of over 40 years of semi-professional use. However, I doubt that we will ever see that sort of manufacturing again. The company that built it would have gone out of business for lack of return customers!)Read full review

A very sturdy stand, well made and folds down quite small considering the strength. Very stable on the ground, it would be very hard to knock a guitar over in this. The auto headstock clamp is great, and the guitar rests solidly against the padded foam legs. Maybe wrap the padded legs in some cotton cloth if you are resting a nitro finish guitar on it, just to be safe. Great stand, you can't go wrong!

An easy to set up and use, well made guitar stand with a pretty cool auto - lock mechanism. Height's easily adjustable too. An all 'round good buy.

The Hercules line of guitar stands was recommended to me by the luthier who rejoined the headstock to the neck of my glorious Gibson guitar. The Hercules is robust, strong and secure - this particular model is their foldup model so great for gigs. I highly recommend the Hercules line of guitar stands as being the very best there is.

This is hands down the best guitar stand I have used. It's super sturdy and holds everything including massive body shape like Exolorer. Apparently it's Nitro safe too. Buy it peeps, you won't regret.
