I found you have to have it on a hard surface, kitchen counter is better than a table. Also readings tend to wander for the same item for the first 2-3 minutes, so I let it warm up a little before taking meaningful measurements. I find it better, every few measurements, to let it go back to zero and hit the ZERO button then it is to zero it using the calibration weight. I was just using it for air gun pellets, 7-11 grains. Measuring heavier things may work better if you calibrate with the weight. This is supposed to work with increasing weight, like pouring gunpowder to a certain weight. I find it sometimes waits a couple of seconds before giving the final weight. If I were adding weight I would do it slowly. I rated it only 3 stars because I'm somewhat disappointed in it's ability to hold a zero. I've tried several electronic scales, and this is probably the best one so far, but I've been disappointed in all of them. I've been using it to determine a rough ballpark of weight and then doing the fine measuring with my balance beam scale. All in all, it has proven to be a timesaver for me. I love how small and easy to use it is.

This is a very handy scale. I spent a good while ensuring that it was both accurate and held repeatability. It does a fine job at both and reads a lot faster than my beam scale. I won't get rid of my standby beam scale EVER, but I use it to double check the digital one once in a while. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that it shuts off very quickly when not used and it's a pain to have to start it back up all the time.

After testing powder loads and comparing them to my balance scale I found this scale to be very good. Easy to calibrate and use. It does not show coming with a powder pan, but it does. Very sensitive to heat cold, let it warm up, do the 10g check. Sometimes it gets erratic and I have to go to the balance check again. Wish it had a power supply so it would stay on for longer lengths of time. For the price it's ok! When warmed and balanced it matches my Lee balance exactly.
