Great for your gig bag
I'm constantly having to put together adapters and various cords to match up one audio output with another input. This little adapter cord gets rid of at least two, maybe three other items and finding a mini stereo to a mono 1/4" is almost unheard of in an adapter cord. Anyone who runs sound knows this configuration is needed from time to time, what with iPads, laptops, phone outputs, etc. And, of course, these same people know that you don't run stereo in a P.A. system. This cable works fine for playing my older iPod nano (through my amp) for break music at gigs. I especially like that it has a smaller diameter plug on the mini stereo end. It leaves enough space to plug in the 30 pin connecter (for power) at the same time. Some of my other cables have larger plugs, so the 30 pin can't be used at the same time. Then its battery power only. The quality of the cable is good and price is excellent. I've used Hosa products for 20+ years, and I've always been happy with them. This is the type of cable that is needed between a laptop and a mixer if using a mono channel on a mixer. It combines the left and right stereo channels into one mono channel so when DJ-ing, both left and right stereo channels are going to the speakers. I bought 2, one for me and one for my DJ buddy.
