While I do recommend it, I have to say that it seems as though the book was simply longer than it should have been. I personally feel the author could have shortened the book quite a bit and still included everything in it. Some things are repeated in later chapters which is what makes it drag out so much. To me if I already read it once, why do you need to repeat it again later. We all know his father was a sick pervert and we know Josh was a weird controlling jerk. The book seems to focus more on the issues of those two than it does Susan. I normally get into a book like this and can't put it down. It took me more than half way into it to get truly interested to the point of not wanting to put it down. You do learn a little more about the Powell family and their extended family/friends than what was portrayed in the media. It does go in depth about the boys and what happened to them.Read full review
tragic story well told

Interesting, but very sad; I got confused sometimes with the order of events.

This is a page turner, when you start you can not stop. Both authors have done a great of detail of the lovely Susan Powell and what she went through in this marriage. She did everything to keep her children and live in tack. It is so sad that never thought what she was up against.
