Having been a fan of her early songs I found this a bit depressing too much doom and gloom and a very modern approach to the music, perhaps I cannot keep upto date with some of the modern music being and old hippie or dinosaur! Her voice is still good and the lyric excellent as they always were.

Don't see where that earlier one star review came from - here's Joni still on top form. Certainly flying the eco flag - but let's not forget that back around 1970, with Phil Ochs & James Taylor, she was a lynchpin of Amchitka, the concert that launched Greenpeace. And no, her voice has definitely not 'gone' - it is just a more mellow and deep version of the original, and that transition has been much on evidence for a long time. This album is trademark latter-day Joni with those laid back jazz influences shining through with a vengeance. Sadly, ten years on, this remains her last album - but if it remains so, it's a great legacy. Thanks Joni
