Great value for a good quality camping pad

The Klymit refurbished sleeping pad arrived promptly and appears to be brand new. The only difference I can determine is the warranty, which is 3 months instead of 1 year to lifetime, depending on who it is purchased through. I plan to use it nightly for 2 weeks within the 3 month warranty period on a camping trip, so I am OK with the 3 month warranty for the difference in cost. I was already sold on this camping pad due to it's light weight and design. I have not used it outdoors yet, but it was extremely comfortable when tested on my floor. I will be using it with a light weight 1" Therma-Rest pad as the non-insulated inflatable pads all have an e-rating of only about 1.3 but the Therma-Rest pad was not particularly comfortable by itself. Together I should be warm and comfortable with a combined weight of just over 2 lb.

    Leaked but easy return

I ordered two. They both leaked the first night of a four day backpacking trip. Bummer! But Klymit was helpful and the return was pretty smooth. It’s a great pad while it holds air... though the valve system is not great.

  • Good for Ultralight Backpacking

When I opened the box, the pad looked brand new even though it was refurbished. I love how small it packs up. Not much bigger than a can of soda. It filled up in 9-10 big breaths and was very comfortable to sleep on. It held air very well except when inflating in warm temps and then it lost some air when it got dark. A couple of puffs and it was good for the night. The chevron design keeps you from sliding off the end or the sides by keeping you in the middle.

  • Great combination and balance of features to achieve outstanding weight to warmth, great pack size, and easy inflation.

Camped last weekend - 20's at night. Mid March in the Mid West. Intended role - Bikepacking. Value - I bought a pad that had been through a return and a repair. I looked and felt like new. Very happy. Inflation - easy and fast. Valve - worked fine / no issues. Color - looks great. The green is very nice. Warmth - As advertised - more comfortable in my sleeping bag vs. laying directly on the pad. Laying on the pad was many times warmer than laying on the ground, but I would have chilled down overnight. Sleeping on my side was great. As advertised. Feel: Think air mattress, but high tech and light weight. This pad is light weight and it moves a bit more if you rest your knee down into it. Felt like my knee might be touching ground almost, or it was close. More air-mattress feel than sleeping pad feel. All good reasons to prepare your sleep site carefully. Think point loads - more risky to your tent floor pad, etc. Totally worth it when balanced against weight and pack size. Just different pads that much heavier and more bulky. Pack-up - pretty quick and easy with cold hands. I didn't attempt getting it back in it's stuff sack but it behaved itself.

  • Pad review

I’ve only slept on the pad one night so far but so far. so good. It’s very easy to inflate and I love the light weight and small packing size. The inflation valves on the newer versions of this pad like this one are really nice - give you a chance to catch your breath without all the air rushing out between breaths. The price is good as well compared to some competitors.

  • Light weight and comfortable

I don't think you can get much better than this without spending a lot more money. It is small, light, and fairly comfortable. I stay in the center quite well instead of rolling off all night like I have on some other pads without the v design. It would be a little cold to use this in lower temperatures, but It was just fine a 9,000 feet and down to 45 degrees at night. This was a great purchase.

  • Can't tell it's a refurbished product

Throughly impressed by this refurb offering! Great price and I could've sworn this was brand new. Tested it 2 nights (left it inflated) with no noticeable difference in the amount of escaped air. Ready for the field! Spent my first night in a tent on top of nugget-sized wood chips (supposed to be mulch) but I didn't feel a thing on top of the Static V. Also tried the SOL Escape bivvy the same night and the two materials make a pretty loud squeaking sound like pleather squeaking when you shift around. Did not affect my rating of the Klymit Static V, but wanted to comment on that combination. Heavier than a foam mat, but super compact and very comfortable for this side sleeping camper.

  • Lightweight with great features

This mattress is super fast to inflate and it has good support for its thinness. It also is pretty quiet when you move around on it. It rolls up small and is lightweight.

  • Lightweight, takes small space, awesome in usage.

Mattress came in great condition: no scratches, just a little signs of usage. I slept 3 night on it to test it and it was awesome: no air leaks, no discomfort. It takes small space in bag. No need to drag other pads. Therm isolation is also good, only works for summer weather. For 0 and below degrees use insulated pads.

  • Klymit static V

Was very skeptical about purchasing a rehab product but had been searching for a decent lightweight sleeping bag at a good price and color too. I found this one and researched it, found a review on YouTube and was confident to buy one. I have used it multiple times and my wife even bought one as well. 1# the baffle system 2# the ease of inflating the system 3# the weight 4# the compact size 5# the color 6# the field kit if you bust it in the bush 7# the price couldn't be beat I'm 5'6" 130lbs My only complaint is being a side sleeper I had to buy another camp pillow to stash in between my legs and the R value which I fixed by adding a small lightweight fleece blanket between the pad and sleeping bag. Good to go Try it out good bang for your buck!
