This pump does suck up the silt without having to mess about attaching it to a hosepipe as with some of the other non-electric ones, so is very suitable for a small pond like ours. The only drawback is that it does get clogged up with pond weed. The only way to clear it is to take it apart but it is not too much of a hassle. I think it would probably best used early in the year before the weed has grown too much. The construction is good and sturdy and it was extremely well wrapped. Obviously an electric vac would be more suitable for a large pond.

It does the job of siphoning debris, including gravel out of the pond. It is of a basic construction, plastic tubes etc., but works well. Possibly could be cheaper, but nothing else on the market like this at the moment, so happy I’ve purchased it.

This gadget is just the ticket for cleaning muck out of my water feature. I’ve looked high and low for something that had adequate suction without being super expensive. Whoever invented this thing gets my praise! It came pretty fast considering it came from Greece and was packaged very well. Thank you, sirs!
