Incredible product for the money, cleverly designed optional mic, long cables and fantastic build quality. Sounds out of the box is not bad but do yourself a favour and get yourself Equaliser APO and the settings for this headset (plenty of results on google) and it sounds twice as good. Couldn't recommend it strongly enough for the price

This headset is fine for gaming but just ok for music listening with a sound that is a bit soft, dull, "tinny", recessed and uncontrolled (sloppy and exaggerated bass, slightly dull midrange and sibilant sharp highs/treble ) when compared with my Shure SRH840 headset which cost just a bit more (but is no good for gaming because it lacks a microphone). The Kingston headset is well made though, but not as comfortable as other reviewers say it is if you have large head or ears (tight fit and sits on ears, exerting pressure). It also has a "small" sound when compared with the Shures, but overall it not too bad for the money.

This is one of the best headsets on the market especially for the value. It comes with two sets of comfortable ear pieces, a detachable boom mic, and it's not heavy or bulky. It's a sturdy headset despite how it may appear in pictures, and the sound quality isn't to be scoffed at. It might not be as bass heavy as many other headsets, but the 7.1 surround sound is on point. The trebles and mids are quite audible and the direction of the sound produced around the ears allows you to hear what sounds are coming from where. The microphone is one of the better ones you can get your hands on, not quite up to the quality of a good studio microphone, but as far as headsets go, this sucker's hard to beat. It'll create a crisper, more realistic representation of your actual voice, with very little distortion as is common with many other microphones. There's a reason this headset is generally recommended amongst the gaming crowd.Read full review

For a headset that is old, it still stands strong today. The sound is very punchy and super bass heavy which can overpower everything else but hardly noticeable. Although attaching the microphone takes some force, overall it sounds great. The microphone is a very tiny but muffled but that is expected on a headset that is a couple years old. I found that using changing the equalizer settings definitely made it sound better but that is subjective. [if you are looking to see/compare sounds i suggest trying looking up "equalizer pro cloud 2 steam" on google and should be the first link and follow the instructions]. Overall not disappointed and well worth the price these days.

It may not be a high end headset but for the money , it does better than expected . Bass is excellent (depending on the material source - of course) , feels comfortable on the noggin , good handy, volume control , one year latter , still as new .
