I have a Sub-12HG that I bought about 3 years ago and decided to add another one. I love how seamlessly it blends with my Klipsch F30s. I set the crossover to about 50hz and the power to about half way and it fills in the bass lost when playing the music at very low volume. Strings sound very full and warm. Bass hits will thump really loud & tight. Movies are more "intense". You can feel the floor shake and at loud volumes you feel the low frequencies in your chest. You need a 12 in driver to get down in the low 20s and this sub goes where smaller subs dare not go. And it does it with ease. This sub was rated the best "overall sub for 2017" by Lifewire. It was compared to other 12 inch subs from the likes of Polk, Yamaha, Martin Logan, BIC and even Klipsch. (Not bad for a sub that started production a over a decade ago} With 300 watts RMS and 650 watts peak on tap, this sub is a beast. But a lovable one that will amaze you.Read full review

A good decent sub with a little bit high price being a discontinued model. Over all good lows coverage and good thrust in its price range. My basic reason of buying this sub was that this Was the only down firing sub in 12" with 300 watts RMS power handling. Over all in general decent sub with decent power handling.

I would recommend this sub to anyone looking to add extra bass to their home stereo system, wish I would have invested in one of these yeas ago! With the gain only turned half way up this sub rattles my walls, vibrates my couch and just brings the movie to life!! I own a 1800sqft home and movies and music can be heard through out and the bass hits hard! Heck even my neighbor texted me to ask if I got new speakers and I said nope just one :) this powered sub rocks!! Highly recommend!

I have 2 r-10sw klipsch's that are 300watts that are pretty good but only one hg12 with same power can out beat and clearer sound. With sound test the hg12 shook the whole house and the 2 r-10sw's was just half. Newer models not as they make them out to be and handle less wattage
