Been using these Kool Stop salmon pads on Dura Ace calipers on our road tandem for years. Pads install easily with your existing hardware and give terrific wet- and dry-condition stopping performance with little to no squeal once setup correctly. I also notice these pads do not pick up aluminum splinters from the rim like some other pads. Might not last as long as other pads but I usually change pads once a year (way before they are due) for safety reasons - especially on a tandem.

These awesome brake pads for wet and dry weather! In Hawaii, we have frequent passing rain showers year round. I am very confident these pads will stop me when the road and my wheel rims are wet! They have not failed me yet!

Disc brakes are becoming all the rage for road bikes these days.. But for those of us still riding road bikes with caliper rim brakes, these KoolStop Salmon brake pads are the best. These are the grippiest pads I have ever used on road bike caliper brakes and works well in wet conditions, and because the compound in these Salmon pads are softer than usual, they don't cause excessive wear to your wheel's rim brake track. The tradeoff with the softer compound is that these Salmon pads do wear out faster than most other rim brake pads, but these Salmon pads are not expensive, so replacing them once a year won't break your bank and keep your caliper brakes' performance good. Highly recommend!

These are great Pads. They are a little softer, but are easy on your rims. They give a great bite when braking. Like i wrote earlier, they are softer, so you have to pay attention to brake wear. But you should anyway. They should last at least one riding season.

Better than anything else out there. Replaced stock Tektro pads and the difference is night and day. From not being able to lock the wheels to skidding nicely (though that's not how I brake in real life).
