For the money, you can not get a better sub woofer. I paid $31 dollars for this Lanzar 8" sub new with shipping. I installed it into a 0.8 cubic foot sealed box in my Jeep Wrangler that had a JL audio W1 8 inch sub in it previously. For a amp I am giving this sub a clean and true 80watts rms from a Soundstream amp with a low pass crossover set at 220hz. I believe this woofer could easily handle a true 200 watts rms from a good amp, with the right sized box, and with a low frequency crossover. The JL it replaced was a good sounding woofer, but it fell apart from over excursion. Basically it just couldnt handle the amount of movement from the low frequencies anymore. I do not for see this being a issue with the Lanzar. This thing is barely breaking a sweat. It looks to be fairly well made, and has some serious excursion for low frequencies. Right now it is barely moving, but that will probably change once the woofer breaks in. Even though its not moving like crazy, it is surprisingly loud for only one 8" and is vibrating the interior of my Jeep. I like the sound of this woofer, it is very punchy, tight, and clean with no muddiness, and can still hit some of the lower frequencies as well. I did notice on a Genesis song that has a very low (50hz) frequency synthesizer note that the note was not as loud as the (100hz) bass guitar and (80hz) kick drum notes, but what more do you want from an 8 inch woofer? That low note was still there and clean, just lower in volume. I rarely listen to anything that gets that low, as I mostly listen to Rock, and Metal, with a occasional jazz, blue grass or country tune. For any of those styles of music this thing kicks serious behind. I also think as this woofer breaks in it will only get better. If you are limited for space or like punchy tight clean bass for cheap, buy this woofer now. It is a great bang for the buck and its hard to ask for more from only a 8" speaker. If you want to rattle the block, you will probably want to go with bigger speakers.Read full review
All I can say is wow I'm impressed. I just wanted a small sub to replace the 20 year old kicker I had. This thing is so much better. I honestly couldnt believe how good it sounds. It struggles a little bit with those real low notes, but the low mids and highs sound really great. I'm an infinity/ Rockford guy, and this is just for a winter beater. If all you have is space for an 8, this is a fantastic buy. I cant speak on longevity, but initial impressions and sound is honestly way better than I expected. It sounds ten times better than the old kicker it replaced. Definitely not the best, you wont be winning any sound competitions or dropping any panties, but if you want some good solid punchy bass and have limited space or budget give this thing a shot. $30 well spent.

I was not expecting this woofer to sound and hit as hard as it did for just 1. In the future, I plan on purchasing 2 woofers of this size and hopefully I will be like WTF amazed! My woofer is in an internal mount, square ported, long box, designed by circuit city back in my high school days. I have never seen another like it. I believe the box really brought out the best of it.

Works great for the price. Canβt really beat it tbh. Only thing is magnet isnβt truly as big as they would like you to believe.

Bought these on a budget but was very surprised at the quality and sound. Put them in a qbomb enclosure with a small amp. Great sounding woofer!
