Lee Loadmaster Reloading Rifle Kit for 223 Remington - Red

About this product

Product Information

The Lee Loadmaster 223 is an accessory for a handgun and rifle that effectively reloads cartridges. This gadget has a 1 3/4 diameter ram, which gives the device an efficient stoke clearance. Because the housing is an ideal size, it can fit in the biggest storage cases for rifles. Hunters can use the Lee Loadmaster during situations when automatic indexing progressive press or single-stage press procedures must be implemented. The product's unique design functions well with most dies because the housing has five stations.

Awesome press in my honest opinion!

Personally I like it and I don't have the kind of money needed to buy a Dillon. I also don't know that I would anyways, the Lee works great. May have to do a little fidgeting but for the price of this press and a couple hundred for some extras I got the press set up to do .223, 300 blackout, .40, 380, 45 acp and 9mm. I don't have to change much to switch it over either. I would recommend going to thingverse (something like that) and 3d print the .223 case slider, it makes the case feeder work much better.

    Problematic Press

This press is less expensive then other progressives for a reason. It takes considerable mechanical skill to keep this press working. The priming system came with a primer tray that allowed primers to flip sideways and upside down. Lee had QC problems with their subcontractor. I loaded 7000 rounds and wore down the priming pin and broke the priming arm pivot. The case shuttle can rarely be made to work. I also ordered the optional bullet droppers and then found out that to make them work correctly you also have to order additional parts. Lee promptly shipped me replacement parts on my dime but the parts were free. I am stuck with this press but I can make it work......others will not be as successful.

  • Load-Master

Although it's a little finicky, I have been able to load and use this press. It is sturdy, and not to hard to get going. My biggest recommendation is not to expect to use this to load .223 or any other rifle caliber. It's a bit of a hit or miss with the primer, sometimes powder spills all over the place and I have resorted to using a single stage press for my rifle rounds and kept this for my 45, 40 and 9mm rounds.

  • instructions lacking

The instructions are lacking on information on how to set it up. Had I not had prior experience I might had returned this product. The measuring device is a little cheapy made with plastic moving parts. More pictures of a completed setup would have been helpful. Be careful on the primer device, do not lock it into place until after it is inserted, otherwise get ready to pick up primers. If you have experience with reloading then buy this one, otherwise get a much simpler machine.

  • Great machine

BEST machine and a great price. When setting it up take a small amount of time to tweak it a little bit and it functions just like a higher dollar machine. Excellent online videos showing you what others have done to make it a fine running reloader. I spent maybe 45 extra minutes tweaking. Not a lot if you consider what the higher price machines cost. If you want one to run out of the box go ahead and part with a lot more cash. My brother has a Dillon with a lot of the goodies and a high price and his runs no better than my LEE. I can tell you from experience, ANY reloader will cause you problems if you don't keep them CLEAN and adjusted.

  • Loadmaster

Works great. Little bit of tweaking and my single stage is a thing of the past. This loadmaster pops ammo out like candy from a gum ball machine.

  • Lee loadmaster :edit after a few days.

Might as well be a boat anchor. Indexing problems from the start and no adjustment corrects. Priming station seems to be built by Hellen Keller. Got this to do bulk 223 I’ve loaded 8 so far.should of spent the extra money on something that will actually work. Hell a rock and a spoon and a ball point pen could load ammunition with less problems : edit After talking to a Lee rep at a gun show over the weekend he gave me some replacement parts and some tips got it tuned and runs 223 like a champ it just needed a shit ton of work to get it to run

  • What I got was good

Thought the stand was included since it was in the picture and didn’t say it wasn’t in the description. Will have better input when I can use it.
