Set up is very easy and quick. Sound is excellent especially for the price. The bass definitely kicks. The overall sound quality and volume is better than anything I've listened to at more than 3 times the price. I've been exercising the speakers with everything from Cat Stevens, Bob Marley, AC/DC, Pantera, Jimi Hendrix and just about anything in between and I am very happy. The neighbors ... not so much. I Highly recommend. Stevie Ray Vaughan just came on so I'm back to disturbing the neighbors.

Pros- goof sound quality, small compact speakers, easy setup, probably best you can buy for price. Cons- I like my music loud as hell. This system gets maybe to 1/3 of the level I wish it did. Also, subwoofer does not have individual volume control and is not as loud as I’d like it. I will be daisychaining an old sub to the system to help fill the void. Overall, movies and music do sound great on this system. If you are on a tight budget looking for a decent small surround system, get this. If you like thunderous bass and loud as hell heavy metal music blaring all day, save you dollars and buy something with more punch to it.

This system images perfectly... the abilty to use it for home and/or pc is awesome., the sound is very good... for the dollar amount, you probably wont get better sound... using the toslink digital optical cable does make a difference and they are inexpensive so definitely worth the money spent. the sub is powerful, does it job well...the bass is not muddy, ... the center speaker accentuates the voices very clearly, ... rear speakers are actually hearable... and with the ability to adjust volume seperately to front/rear/sub/center seperately gives you good control over the surround sound, ... the effect choices are good , .. i like the fact it came with a control box and the remote control is nice, and seems to do the job well. lets face it..this is not a $1000 plus system.... dont expect sound of that.....but for the amount you pay, you do get sound pretty near a $1000 system. i would recommend this system in a heart beart. no regrets in purchasing this ..not on day 1, not now.Read full review

This is the third Logitech THX-certified speaker system I have owned. For the money, the sound is amazing. I have it connected to my HDTV and really enjoy watching movies with it turned up moderately loud. It is as close to a theater experience as I have experienced and better in that I never worry about other moviegoer's conversations or comments during a movie. This system has very commendable bass. Voices, background music, sound effects make it an ideal viewing experience for me. I did consider other systems with THX-certification, but the costs were more than double what I felt I could afford. Try it. I bet you love it as much as I do

I owned a Z5500 and I'm comparing this to that model. The module is the same. I can understand why. The Z5500 back light would burn out meaning you couldn't see anything. You get the same function out of it for example Stereo X 2 and digital Dolby. The sub woofer is smaller but seems to render the same level of bass if not deeper. The satellites speakers don't seem any different than the Z5500 model. After burning up my Z5500 model six months ago I'm super happy about this purchase. Haven't tested it on games yet. Sure I'm sure I will not be disappointed. Now unless you're SO rich it pains you to settle for anything less than most expensive you'll love it too.Read full review
