Likes: All Solid Hawaiian Koa body. Satin rubbed finish. Great value for under $500. Martin fluorocarbon strings. Soft case with uke. Good Sound Dislikes: Martin logo….sticker. Their guitar markers would look better. Fret markers are small. Larger ones would enhance uke looks. My frets ends needed filing. Overall: Great value for Hawaiian koa uke. This is not acacia koa which has a different wood grain look to me. Wood work is nicely made.

Very nicely constructed as expected from Martin. Very nice grain to the wood after I polished it lightly. Did not care for the stock strings- stiff and overly bright in my opinion. Changed to nylagut with a low G and that helped. Tuners are lovely. Fret edges on bottom are very sharp- they will need polishing Tone is a little dry but will open up with play. Volume is good I dont think you can go wrong with this uke. I wish Martin made the same model in mahogany but thats another story

I love the tone and finish. The grain and color of koa is so great. I got a great deal on it as it was a return.. It's very difficult for me to get clear notes when barring at the first fret. A professional setup may be in order. I'll have that done when I have the pickup installed.

I could not be happier with this instrument . It sounds like a Martin should and it is an absolutely beautiful Ukulele. It is advertised as used but is in perfect condition. //five stars is just not enough.
