This is my 3rd Manfrotto I already own a 55C which I have had for a great number of years and still works perfectly, but I wanted a more portable tripod. So I bought the Befree, which is packed in my suitcase as I write for a trip to Brazil and the carnival, it is perfect for lets say casual use and extremely lightweight. However did not quite need my needs for a tripod which would be an "essential" on landscape photography trips to various countries. This is where the 190 is perfect. Surprisingly lightweight, I almost took it instead of the Befree to Brazil. As sturdy as the 55C, but way more compact as I bought the 4 legged version instead of the 3 of my 55c. It would fit in your normal suitcase if required. As far as I can make out the only real difference is in the height. I don't ever remember having my tripod fully extended anyway, and this certainly reaches eye level for a six footer. I use the Manfrotto magnesium Pro Ballhead, which is also extremely lightweight, and a perfect match for the 190 carbon model. £100 difference to the 55c carbon model, but unless you are going to require that extra (maybe 6in) height you will find this perfectly adequate. Build quality is the same with all Manfrotto tripods, nothing has been stinted on. Buy it !Read full review

Incredibile product, and using it on shoots has been amazing, especially when moving from a really old £80 tripod kit, definitely worth it

I have a Manfrotto tripod head but needed legs which could fit, long and are light weight. These legs fit perfectly and are much lighter than what I had before.
