I tried everything, I mean everything, to get my 4 year old to stop biting his nails. His nail beds were nibbled away almost to the quick. He was starting to even bite his toe nails! I applied Mavala STOP, and kept gently encouraging him not to bite. He did try to bite a few times even then. But the bitter taste lingers on the tongue and within one week he had stopped for good. Mavala did not irritate the thin nail beds. It dries quickly and did not stick to other surfaces. The only downside is that the taste does transfer to finger foods (chips, fries, etc.) Great product!

pros - intensely awful tasting topical preparation that should deter most from putting their fingers in their mouth and biting of nails. Remains on nails even when washed multiple times. cons - surface film too thick and noticeable, surface film is not stay fast, meaning that any contact whatsoever with the film will carry, so picking up food, such as an apple, will ultimately transfer to the mouth and tongue. Do not place finger in mouth for any reason of you will get a hit of the surface preparation, let alone biting of nails / cuticles. Nitrile gloves should come as part of the kit and even then there is a chance the product will seep through.

I can't see any difference as my son is still biting his nail. No difference between the cheaper version one from chemist shop. No worth paying 👎
