I was looking for a reasonably priced GPS system for the car that was easy to use and had a larger screen. I found one! This unit is simple to set up and use, has a nice, large screen and does all I want it to do. The 310 Mio also has a hook-up and free one year subscription for instant satellite updates via an external antenna for construction areas, accidents, etc. It also has a battery built in so I can use it as a hand-held unit. This unit cost far less than my friend's Garman, and it seems to me to be easier to use. The one draw-back is that the website is rather confusing, and, as of yet, map updates are not available online. However, this was an excellent purchase for me.
A friend of mine had a Mio and really liked it. I wanted a 4.3" screen to make viewing it easy. I also wanted it to announce street names. The traffic alert was a bonus for me. I bought one for my son last month and decided to buy one for myself as I'm horrible with directions and his was so easy to use right out of the box! It also uses the same power cord as my Razr cell phone so I can also charge it inside the house. The price was excellent compared to the TomTom or Garmin. Staples offered the Moov 300 for $199 and I bought my Mio for $105. I would definitely recommend this unit to friends.
It's small, easy to use, so far great battery life, if you add the "miopocket" software (google search it), you can use it as a Pda/Gps, play music & videos. I even use it to wach movies @ the doctors office. Navigation? Iv'e tested it in the neighborhood, and so far the narrow paths other than the main roads are there, trust me, a GPS that works almost anywhere in Puerto Rico must be good, the only downside compared to a tomtom it's lack of editing, tomtom allows you to set speed limits, set of it's a one way street, etc. other than that, I Love My Mio Moov.
I bought the Mio Moov 310 GPS before one month. It was from taiwan. I love it very much. The GPS is North America version, and it has 3.5 Million useful POI map informations, and real people voice guidance. It is very exact & friendly & high speed. It is very helpful to me. I used to fear for travelling to unknow city, but now I'm not afrid. I trust Mio Moov 310 GPS, it can tell me how to go. And TMC system inside, I can receive real-time traffic alerts as they happen. It help me to avoid unexpected accidents, road blocks and traffic jams, getting me to my destination safely. It's device mount can help me easy to mount in my car. Now, I think it is my best travelling helper.
This is the third one of these I've purchased. Actually, I'm still using my original unit and the other two are for backup. Only weakness seems to be the windshield mount as the suction cup tends to dry out and crack.
