I purchased this after owning the Mophie desk dock which i think works well. The problem I have with this base is in comparison its not very magnetic meaning if you use it at night it's difficult to replace your phone and ensure its in the right place to continue charging. The desk dock almost snaps your phone in place with the magnetic force but this base is hit and miss. It's also not magnetic enough to use vertically should you need to view your phone whilst charging.
